The Allergy Unit works with paediatricians and allergy experts, among other specialists, in:

Diagnosing allergic disease by quantifying parameters such as total IgE, eosinophil cationic protein, tryptase and histamine in various types of sample.
Identifying the possible allergens responsible for the allergic disease by studying the possible presence of specific IgE tested with a wide range of respiratory allergens, alimentary allergens, some occupational allergens, medical allergens, insect poisons and recombined allergens.
Monitoring patients undergoing hyposensitising therapy. |
In addition, it works with digestion experts and nutritionists (among others, studying food intolerances in order to improve the quality of life of patients with gastro-intestinal disorders and other associated diseases.
