Echevarne Laboratory was founded in 1958. The first reference analyses in the history of the laboratory were hormonal detections, then an analytical novelty, and carried on from there to include other fields such as Cytogenetics and Toxicology, as complements to the classical Laboratory areas of Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology, and Microbiology. Following, there have been incorporating new technologies of molecular Biology-based on amplification and sequencing of nucleic acids, applied to the fields of infectious diseases, Oncology and inherited diseases, and analytical techniques like mass spectrometry, chromatography (GC-MS), liquid chromatography (LC - MS / MS) and ICP-MS, the last for the elements analysis of the periodic table.
The technological and professional experience of the Laboratory lets his access to the field of clinical trials (Phases I-IV), and a Pharmacokinetics Unit equipped with high technology and certified.
Our customer's needs drove the development of new areas, Industry and Veterinary, with the aim of providing a comprehensive service to companies and centers which requested workers health check-ups and required water, food or environment tests. Similarly, the Laboratory works in the field of clinical trials with the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry. It showed the need for raw material determinations, sterility controls, particles controls into vials, etc., that could be addressed with the available resources of the Laboratory.
